2.0 IEEE Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) have been granted, and NETA Continuing Technical Development Credits (CTDCs) will be available, for full participation in the conference.
This outstanding Annual Technical Conference will once again highlight presenters from major utilities and power industry organizations speaking about Transformer, LTC, OCB and Bushing Condition-Based Maintenance, and other current topics of interest to power professionals.
The festivities will begin Monday with a full battery of speakers followed by an evening New Orleans Gala Welcome Reception. Tuesday’s agenda will have speakers in the morning and the marquee Vendor Trade Show in the afternoon. Hosted lunch, cocktails and prizes will also be provided during the Exhibit. Additional presentations are planned for Wednesday morning after which the conference will adjourn.

A pre-conference Golf Tournament is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 14, at TPC Louisiana for those who are arriving early and want to try their skills on the links. TPC Louisiana was selected “One of America’s TOP FIVE BEST NEW COURSES” by Golf Digest in January 2005. Set amid Louisiana’s stately cypress and oak trees, the golf course was designed by world-renowned architect Pete Dye and opened in April 2004. There will be food, fun and great prizes. In addition to exhibits, several opportunities for sponsorship of breaks, lunches, and other conference or golf events are offered. A companion activity will be scheduled for Tuesday, September 16.
Volunteer Opportunity: We are proud to hold this year’s annual conference in New Orleans. In addition, we are very excited to be able to provide an opportunity for everyone to Volunteer for a Day with the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. We have made arrangements for a group Volunteer for a Day on Thursday, September 18. Anyone wishing to participate in our Volunteer for a Day program should complete the Volunteer Registration Form. Volunteer Registrations must be received by Friday, August 22. Space is limited, so be sure to volunteer today!
Meeting Venue: Located in the French Quarter, Hotel Monteleone is a historic and literary landmark offering three acclaimed restaurants, a full service on-site spa and elegant accommodations with modern business conveniences. One block from Bourbon Street, it is within walking distance to Jackson Square, the Old French Market, streetcars, Aquarium of the Americas, IMAX Theatre, D-Day Museum, the Mississippi Riverfront, and a variety of restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Registration Cost: If paid by August 18, the cost of $745 for all three days includes all conference materials, breaks, lunches and the Welcome Reception on Monday evening. After August 18, registration will be $795. Register by mail, fax or on-line at www.weidmann-diagnostics.com.
