What type of sampling containers does Weidmann-ACTI recommend?

Glass syringes are recommended for Dissolved Gas Analysis and Moisture testing.

Plastic bottles (typically 32 oz.) are recommended when performing oil quality testing.

Vials are recommended when only PCB testing is to be performed.

A Gas Sampling System, along with SF6 stainless steel cylinders are recommended when performing SF6 testing. Please call our Sacramento Facility to arrange for this testing (916) 455-2284.

How does Weidmann-ACTI determine what diagnostic messages appear on test reports?

Weidmann-ACTI follows IEEE and IEC guidelines where appropriate. Our OCB and LTC diagnostics are unique to Weidmann-ACTI, and are based on our experience in the electrical industry.

What functions are available to customer via the AIMSM Asset Info Manager website?

This website allows our clients 24/7 access to their analytical data. AIMSM clients can download test data in various formats for data manipulation or importation into another asset management system. They are also able to make changes to their equipment data in the system. Clients can customize their interface with the system by using our notification system that alerts them when test results reach a critical level. Also, our advanced diagnostic section can be used to view graphic representations of our clients’ test data.

How much does it cost to subscribe to the AIMSM - Asset Info Manager website?

There are various levels of functionality that can be offered. Pricing is based on the functionality desired, along with the number of samples tested by Weidmann-ACTI.

Why do your United States Labs and Canadian Labs use different testing methods for PCB analysis?

Our labs in the United States follow the applicable EPA testing method for PCB analysis, while our labs in Canada follow ASTM D-4059.
